Web Developer (5 yrs) or Sr. Web Developer (10 yrs)

Responsible for designing, maintaining and enhancing applications software, websites, and web applications for small to large, highly complex computer systems or portions of large integrated systems. Duties may include the creation or modification of administrative, scientific or systems software, on centralized and distributed systems.  Duties may also include software test, design, test data acquisition and analysis and test results analysis, and test result analysis and reporting.

 

Minimum five or ten years experience in the overall software development environment, with an emphasis on web-based application methodologies and strategies. Candidate must have demonstrated ability performing software design, development and implementation with efforts of similar size and complexity.

Experience working with the following:

·        Unix (Sun Solaris) and Windows

·        HTML/JavaScript/CSS

·        Apache/MySQL/Perl/PHP/Python

·        Java JDK

·        .NET and Sharepoint experience is a plus

Expert Linguist - Farsi, Mandarin, and Korean

Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) Skill Levels Scale 3/3 or better

PART-TIME, Short Assignments

TS/SI/TK cleared personnel with a demonstrated experience and proficiency in Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) or Information Assurance (IA) analysis. The principal responsibility of the expert linguist is to annotate media for technologies that process spoken language. Primary needs are for voice analysis experience, linguistic capabilities, and computer skills (SUN/UNIX familiarity) to enable use of Government provided software tools.

 

Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) exams are acceptable forms to document the language expertise. The exam score or certification must clearly document the expertise (listening, speaking, reading and writing) in the specific language/dialect and when the exam was taken. The skill levels needed to accomplish the task are set such that the annotations are accurate and completed in the established time.

Access Control Specialist

This is a typical 'Blue Blazer' position .The candidate will be controlling access to government building with in the following areas; BWI and Ft Meade. Depending on the post, some are inside, some are outside and some are floating. Some are operating 24 hours a day, others are not. Only part-time positions are available.

Program Manager (Foreign Language Programs)

Provides guidance to the linguist team.  Applies linguistic research principles and monitors the team’s productivity and quality of work.  In addition, this position supports a variety of business development tasks to market core competencies. Core competencies at GSG include Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Foreign Language Transcription/Annotation, DOD Personnel Security Administration (FSO/SSO) and cleared Administrative Support services.

 

Project Management tasking includes: facilitating planning sessions to build consensus regarding task definitions, task sequencing and task interrelationships within the project; creating, reviewing, and updating program schedules, supporting documents and project management plans; developing and monitoring project schedule baselines, budgets and performance criteria; preparing project reports and presentations for program and project status meetings. Candidate will concurrently: build and maintain a qualified pipeline of DOD/Agency business opportunities; develop a pre-positioning/capture strategy; and preposition GSG within the customer community for each qualified opportunity.

Requires a minimum 10+ years of directly related professional experience with 2+ years of experience managing language projects and 8+ years of linguist experience.  Demonstrated government and/or DOD experience managing and analyzing projects exceeding $2M, required. Excellent organizational and communication skills, with proven ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Relevant Bachelors’ degree, required; Masters, preferred. TS/SCI with poly, required.

SharePoint Developer

Software engineers with a strong background in web development.  Candidate should possess a knowledge of, or experience in, MOSS 2007 – Microsoft Office SharePoint Services.  Exposure or experience with .NET programming.  Prior experience developing portals and web development is needed.   The ideal candidate should be a self starter who can install, configure and customize COTS software with minimal oversight using COTS documentation and open source information.  This position requires a strong software development background, so a degree in Computer Science or related is preferred.  Microsoft Certified Developer desired.  Overall years of experience 5-10 yrs.
